Overview

ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB's midtown Atlanta office is seeking a Land Development Intern to join our team for Summer 2027. Interns will work on civil engineering projects and will learn technical skills and computation software.  

 

Our Atlanta Land Development team works with private real estate clients on a multitude of projects including Industrial, Healthcare and commercial developments.  Our work includes site design, hydrology, utilities, mass grading and erosion control for projects in Georgia but typically in the metro Atlanta area.

Responsibilities
  • Effectively interact with numerous VHB staff, clients, and consultants to advance projects in a timely manner
  • Engineering calculations
  • Preliminary and final design plans
  • Contract documents including specifications
  • Engineer’s estimates
  • Preparing construction documents
Skills and Attributes
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excels at working in a team environment
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing undergraduate or master’s degree in Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Strong interest in civil engineering
VHB does not provide housing for internships.
 

The hourly pay range for this position, located in Georgia, is $19 to $30. The actual hourly rate offered will be determined based on job-related factors, including geographic location, internal equity, experience, credentials, skills, education, work schedule, and other factors permitted by law. The posted hourly range reflects base pay only. Additional compensation and benefits available to eligible employees are outlined in our Total Rewards Program.
